การสืบค้นหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์จาก WebOPAC : e-book searching via WebOPAC

สำนักหอสมุด มก. บอกรับฐานข้อมูลหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์หลายฐาน ซึ่งการสืบค้นหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ดังกล่าว นอกจากจะสืบค้นจากหน้าเว็บไซต์ฐานข้อมูลนั้นๆโดยตรงแล้ว ในส่วนของหนังสือจาก Science Direct และ Springer Link  ยังสามารถสืบค้นได้จากฐานข้อมูลทรัพยากรห้องสมุด (Library Catalog) โดยมีวิธีการสืบค้น ดังนี้

1. สืบค้นจากหัวเรื่อง โดยระบุหัวเรื่องเป็น “Electronic books”

==> ตัวอย่าง : พิมพ์คำค้น electronic books ในช่อง Subject (หัวเรื่อง) แล้วคลิก Go
==> ผลการสืบค้น จะได้รายชื่อหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ที่ห้องสมุดบอกรับจาก Science Direct และ Springer Link

2. สืบค้นจากคำสำคัญ (keyword) หรือ หัวเรื่อง (subject) แล้วจึงเลือกประเภทเอกสาร (Material Type) เป็น “E-Book”
==> ตัวอย่าง : สืบค้นด้วยหัวเรื่อง Proteins

==> คลิกที่ Limit / Sort Search แล้วเลือก Material Type เป็น E-book แล้วคลิกที่ Submit

==> ผลการสืบค้น จะได้หนังสือเกี่ยวกับโปรตีนเฉพาะที่เป็น E-books

3. หากต้องการค้นหารายชื่อหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์โดยเจาะจงเฉพาะจาก ScienceDirect
สามารถสืบค้นจาก ชื่อผู้แต่ง (Author) โดยระบุคำค้นเป็น sciencedirect (online service)

4. หากต้องการค้นหารายชื่อหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์โดยเจาะจงเฉพาะจาก Springerlink
สามารถสืบค้นจาก ชื่อผู้แต่ง (Author) โดยระบุคำค้นเป็น springerlink (online service)

** จำนวนหนังสือที่ปรากฎยังไม่ใช่รายชื่อหนังสือทั้งหมดจาก springerlink เนื่องจากยังอยู่ในช่วงการนำข้อมูลเข้าสู่ฐานข้อมูลทรัพยากรห้องสมุด 

การอ่านหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ฉบับเต็ม

1) Science Direct E-books : สามารถเข้าใช้ได้ในเครือข่ายมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ โดยไม่ต้องมีรหัสผ่าน กรณีเข้าจากนอกมหาวิทยาลัยต้องติดตั้งโปรแกรม VPN ก่อน หรือเข้าใช้โดยมีรหัสผ่าน โดยนิสิต อาจารย์และบุคลากร มก. สามารถติดต่อขอรหัสผ่านได้จากสำนักหอสมุดสมุด


2) Springer Link E-books : สามารถเข้าใช้ได้ในเครือข่ายมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ โดยไม่ต้องมีรหัสผ่าน กรณีเข้าจากนอกมหาวิทยาลัยต้องติดตั้งโปรแกรม VPN ก่อน

What’s new on SciVerse Science Direct : มีอะไรใหม่บนแพลตฟอร์มใหม่ของ Science Direct

เผยโฉมมาแล้วสำหรับเว็บใหม่ของ Science Direct และ Scopus แถมด้วย Sciverse hub ตามมาให้งงเล่น เดือดร้อนต้องมานั่งฟัง Online tutorial ว่าเขามีอะไรออกมาใหม่บ้าง และจากการไปคลุกวงใน (ถามเพื่อนบรรณฯ ม.อื่นๆ ที่ elsevier เกิดลำเอียงไปอบรมให้ก่อน) เบื้องต้นทราบว่ายังต้องใช้เวลาอีกประมาณ 3 เดือน ในการปรับปรุงเว็บใหม่นี้ หลังจากนั้นก็คาดว่าทางบริษัทคงจะมีการจัดฝึกอบรมอย่างเป็นทางการให้กับบรรณารักษ์ทั้งหลาย ระหว่างนี้ใครที่อยากรู้อยากเห็นก็ศึกษาเองไปก่อนและเท่าที่ดู แม้ว่าจะไม่เปลี่ยนแปลงไปมาก แต่ก็พบว่าหลายอย่างก็ต่างไป ส่วนดีขึ้นหรือไม่ ต้องลองดู 

1) จะค้น Science Direct หรือ Scopus ก็ง่าย เพราะทำ Link ไว้ในหน้าแรก

2) เมื่อค้นที่ Sciverse Hub ผลการค้นจะได้ข้อมูลจาก 3 แหล่ง ในคราวเดียว (Science Direct, Scopus , Scirus)

3) Science Direct เพิ่มทางเลือกในการสืบค้น คือ image search –> ผลการสืบค้นจาก “image search”

4) Scopus ก็มีหลายอย่างแตกต่างไป  1) สามารถเลือกว่าจะสืบค้นข้อมูลจาก Scopus, Science Direct หรือ Sciverse Hub 2) เมนูสืบค้นยังเหมือนเดิม แต่ย้าย “Live Chat”  ไปไว้มุมขวา 3) การจัดการคำค้น ต่างจากเดิมนิดหน่อย 4) การจัดการผลการสืบค้น มีหลายอย่างเพิ่มเติม 5) ข้อมูลการอ้างถึง เดิมใช้คำว่า “Cited by” เปลี่ยนเป็น “Citation”

OPAC Update (Part 4) : การสืบค้น Science Direct E-books จากฐานข้อมูลทรัพยากรห้องสมุด

ฐานข้อมูลทรัพยากรห้องสมุด (Library Catalog) นอกจากจะสามารถค้นหาหนังสือ วารสาร  วิทยานิพนธ์ งานวิจัย สื่อโสตทัศนวัสดุ ที่สำนักหอสมุด ห้องสมุดคณะและห้องสมุดวิทยาเขต มีให้บริการแล้ว ยังสามารถสืบค้นและเข้าถึงหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (E-books) ที่สำนักหอสมุดบอกรับได้ด้วย โดยสามารถสิบค้นได้จาก ชื่อผู้แต่ง ชื่อเรื่อง หัวเรื่อง หรือ คำสำคัญ ได้เช่นเดียวกับการค้นหาหนังสือที่เป็นตัวเล่ม หรือในบางกรณีอาจพบว่าหนังสือที่ค้นหานั้นมีทั้งที่เป็นตัวเล่ม และเป็นหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ ปัจจับันหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ที่สำนักหอสมุดมีให้บริการนั้นมีจากหลายสำนักพิมพ์ แต่ที่สามารถสืบค้นผ่านฐานข้อมูลทรัพยากรห้องสมุดได้มีเพียง Science Direct E-books เท่านั้น โดยรายละเอียดและวิธีการสืบค้น Science Direct E-books มีดังต่อไปนี้

Science Direct E-books ฐานข้อมูลหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ของสำนักพิมพ์ Elsevier โดยสำนักหอสมุด มก. เริ่มบอกรับ ในสาขาเกษตรและสิ่งแวดล้อม ครอบคลุมเนื้อหา ดังนี้  -Agricultural & Biological Sciences : 1995-2009 –Environmental Science : 1995-2008 รูปแบบของเนื้อหา -Books -Book Series เงื่อนไขการเข้าใช้ Science Direct E-books 1) ใช้งานในเครือข่ายอินเทอร์เน็ตของมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ (Nontri Net) โดยไม่จำกัดจำนวนผู้เข้าใช้และไม่ต้องมีรหัสผ่าน 2) เข้าใช้งานนอกเครือข่ายนนทรี โดยผ่านโปรแกรม VPN 3) ใช้งานนอกเครือข่ายนนทรี โดยใช้รหัสผ่าน (เฉพาะนิสิต บุคลากร มก. เท่านั้น)

การสืบค้น Science Direct E-books ผ่านฐานข้อมูลทรัพยากรห้องสมุด

การเข้าถึง  1) เข้าเว็บไซต์สำนักหอสมุด มก. ที่ http://www.lib.ku.ac.th หรือ 2) สืบค้นที่เว็บไซต์ฐานข้อมูลทรัพยากรห้องสมุด ที่ http://intanin.lib.ku.ac.th

การสืบค้น 1) สืบค้นจากชื่อเรื่อง (Title) –> ผลการสืบค้น จากผลการสืบค้นจะพบว่าหนังสือบางชื่อ สำนักหอสมุดมีทั้งที่เป็นหนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ และ เป็นตัวเล่ม ซึ่งผู้ใช้บริการสามารถเลือกใช้ได้

2) การสืบค้นจากชื่อผู้แต่ง (Author) –> ผลการสืบค้น

3) การสืบค้นจากหัวเรื่อง (Subject)

3.1 สืบค้นด้วยหัวเรื่อง “Electronic Books” จะปรากฎผลการสืบค้นเป็น หนังสืออิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (E-books) ทั้งหมด –> ผลการสืบค้น

3.2 สืบค้นด้วยหัวเรื่องอื่นๆ แล้วใช้คำสั่ง Limit search เช่น  –> สืบค้นด้วยหัวเรื่อง (Subject) ด้วยคำว่า Postharvest –> ที่หน้าแสดงผลการสืบค้น คลิกที่ Limit/Sort Search –> เลือกประเภทเอกสาร เป็น E-Book แล้วคลิก Submit –>ผลการสืบค้น 4) รายละเอียดจากการสืบค้น –> เมื่อคลิกที่ชื่อเรื่อง จะปรากฎรายละเอียดทางบรรณานุกรมของหนังสือ –> หากคลิกที่ Digital Media จะ Link ไปที่ฐานข้อมูล Science Direct หากใช้งานอินเทอร์เน็ตในเครือข่ายนนทรี สามารถคลิกที่ไฟล์ PDF เพื่ออ่านเอกสารฉบับเต็มได้โดยไม่ต้องมีรหัสผ่าน –> เอกสารฉบับเต็ม (Full-text)

Document Download Manager

On September 1, 2008, the Document Download Manager (DDM) will be available on Science Direct. DDM enables researchers to download multiple PDFs faster, it saves time by allowing researchers to automatically download , rename and save multiple documents simultaneously. Up to 20 PDF files can be downloaded at a time.

ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 กันยายน 2551 เป็นต้นไป ผู้ใช้บริการ Science Direct จะได้รับความสะดวกในการ download ข้อมูลมากขึ้น ด้วย DDM – Document Download Manager จะช่วยให้ผู้ใช้บริการฐานข้อมูล Science Direct สามารถ download บทความได้ครั้งละหลายๆบทความพร้อมกัน (สูงสุดครั้งละ 20 บทความ) ทำให้สามารถสืบค้นและจัดเก็บข้อมูล ที่ต้องการได้อย่างรวดเร็ว

การใช้งาน ScienceDirect Document Download Manager (DDM)

1. สืบค้นข้อมูลจากเมนูสืบค้น อาจเป็น Quick search, Basic search หรือ Advanced search

2. คลิกที่สี่เหลี่ยมเพิ่อเลือกรายการ

3. คลิกที่ เพื่อ download เอกสารฉบับเต็มของรายการที่เลือกทั้งหมดพร้อมกันเพียงครั้งเดียว

4. บางเครื่องอาจต้องการติดตั้งโปรแกรมเพิ่มเติม คลิก Run เพื่อติดตั้ง

5. กำหนดเงื่อนไขการ Download เช่น ชื่อไฟล์ โฟลเดอร์ที่ต้องการจัดเก็บ เป็นต้น

6. เมื่อกำหนดเงื่อนไขเรียบร้อยแล้ว คลิก Begin Download

7. เมื่อ Download เสร็จแล้ว จะปรากฎข้อความบอกข้อมูลของไฟล์ที่จัดเก็บ

8.ไฟล์ที่จัดเก็บด้วย DDM – แสดงโฟลเดอร์ที่จัดเก็บไฟล์ตามที่ได้ตั้งไว้ – ไฟล์เอกสารจากการ download ด้วย DDM
